DARJEELING: The Tibet Museum of Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, kicked off its photo exhibition tour of Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Gangtok by exhibiting on 6 July at Chowrasta, a popular tourist spot in Darjeeling.

The Tibetan welfare officer of Darjeeling, Mr. Rinzin Dorjee, inaugurated the Exhibition.

The Exhibition titled, ‘Biography of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’ was exhibited to mark and honor the 80th Birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The exhibition consisting of 38 photo panels with description in Tibetan, English and Hindi was enthusiastically seen by Tibetans, local residents and tourists.

The Tibet Museum also held a screening of documentary film, ‘History of Tibet’ for the students and staff of C.S.T Darjeeling in the school auditorium.

The three-day exhibition attracted thousands of visitors from all walks of life.

Tibet Museum is now slated to travel to its next destinations, Kalimpong and Gangtok and hold exhibition on 12-13 July and 17-19 July respectively.
