Tibet Museum Conducts Awareness Programme at Invictus International School, Amritsar

Amritsar, 17 October 2026: The Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), in collaboration with the Tibet Museum, conducted a Tibet Awareness Programme at Invictus International School in Amritsar on 17 October 2026, at the invitation of the school. The programme featured talks, a documentary screening, an interactive quiz, and an exhibition highlighting Tibet’s history, culture, environment, and the resilience of the Tibetan people in preserving their identity in exile.

DIIR Joint Secretary Zamlha Tempa Gyaltsen participated as a panellist and spoke about Tibet’s history, cultural heritage, and environmental significance. The session was followed by an interactive conversation with Invictus International School student Abana and the school director on Tibetan resilience and the importance of preserving Tibetan identity in exile.

Tibet Museum staff members Dechen Dolkar and Chaksha Tsering screened Man of Peace for the students. Following the screening, an interactive quiz encouraged students to reflect on the film’s themes and test their understanding. Students participated enthusiastically, and stickers were awarded to those who answered correctly.

Dechen Dolkar subsequently introduced the exhibition displayed in the school hall, guiding students through its key themes and offering insights into Tibetan history and India–Tibet relations.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Tenzin Palmo of the Tibet Advocacy section, who expressed appreciation to the school director, principal, vice-principal, and school community for their support and hospitality. Souvenirs were presented to the school director, principal, and vice-principal, while books were donated to the school library to encourage further learning about Tibetan history and culture.

The visit concluded with a group photograph of the participants, marking a meaningful educational engagement between the Tibet Museum and the school in promoting awareness of Tibet among young learners.
