The Tibet Museum, Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), successfully conducted a series of exhibitions and public engagement programmes in Leh, Ladakh, from 4 to 7 July 2026 as part of the closing Ghoton celebrations in honour of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
As part of the Tibetan Cultural Exhibition held in Leh Market on 4 July, the Tibet Museum presented a photo exhibition highlighting the life, legacy, and Four Principal Commitments of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The exhibition attracted numerous visitors throughout the day, including the Honorable Sikyong, who toured the exhibition and interacted with participants.
On 5 July, the Tibet Museum displayed the same exhibition during the official dinner reception held at the Grand Dragon Hotel, jointly organised by the Central Tibetan Administration, the Ladakh Local Tibetan Assembly, and the Sonamling Tibetan Settlement. The Tibet Museum also presented its publications and souvenirs to invited guests, further promoting its educational and public outreach initiatives.
On the morning of 6 July, the Tibet Museum installed the photo exhibition at the teaching ground of Shewatsel Phodrang as part of the official observance of the 91st birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. During the celebration, His Holiness the Dalai Lama officially launched the Tibet Museum’s animated series, Man of Peace: The Life and Legacy of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, an educational production depicting the extraordinary life, enduring legacy, and compassionate leadership of His Holiness.
Later that day, the Tibet Museum organised the premiere screenings of Man of Peace: The Life and Legacy of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and the documentary Wisdom of Happiness at PVR Cinema, Leh. The event was attended by Ama Jetsun Pema La, the elder sister of His Holiness the Dalai Lama; the Secretary of the Gaden Phodrang; senior officials of the Central Tibetan Administration; and numerous distinguished guests.
