Photographic Exhibition in Bodh Gaya on the Occasion of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s 91st Birthday Celebration
Bodh Gaya, 6 July 2026: The Tibet Museum, Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), participated in the grand celebration marking the 91st birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, organised by the International Buddhist Council, Bodh Gaya, at Welcome Hotel ITC, Bodh Gaya.
The event brought together more than 250 participants, including monks and nuns representing both the Theravada and Mahayana Buddhist traditions, in a joyous celebration honouring the life and teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
As part of the programme, the Tibet Museum presented a photographic exhibition showcasing the life, vision, and enduring legacy of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The exhibition highlighted His Holiness’s lifelong commitment to promoting peace, compassion, non-violence, interfaith harmony, and the preservation of Tibetan culture and identity.
During the event, the Museum staff had the honour of guiding distinguished guests through the exhibition, including the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Mr. Sonam Phintsok Wangdi; Mr. Shashank Subhankar, IAS, District Magistrate of Gaya; and Mr. Tenzin Gelek, IAS, Chairman of the Administrative Reforms Commission, Government of Sikkim.
The exhibition drew significant public interest, with visitors engaging closely with the photographic displays and learning about the remarkable contributions of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to humanity. Through the exhibition, participants gained a deeper appreciation of His Holiness’s unwavering dedication to universal values and his lasting influence in fostering peace, compassion, and mutual understanding across the world.
