The Voluntary Tibet Advocacy Group (V-TAG), in collaboration with the Tibet Museum, Pacific Mall, Trinetram, and Brand Solutions, organized the first-ever Ghanjong Festival at Pacific Mall, Dehradun, on 6–7 June 2026.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Col. Ajay Kothiyal, along with distinguished guests including Dr. Tsewang Phuntsok, Tibetan Settlement Officer of Dehradun; Indrapal Singh, State President of Bharat Tibet Sangh; and the event sponsor, Kelsang.

The two-day festival celebrated the richness of Tibetan culture through traditional cultural performances, exhibitions, documentary screenings, a cultural ramp walk, art activities, and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages. As part of the festival, the Tibet Museum presented a pictorial exhibition on the life and legacy of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about his lifelong commitment to peace, compassion, nonviolence, and the preservation of Tibetan culture.

The festival brought together members of the Tibetan and local communities, creating a vibrant platform for cultural exchange and public engagement. Visitors enthusiastically explored the exhibition and participated in the festival’s diverse programmes, reflecting a strong interest in Tibetan history, culture, and heritage.

As V-TAG’s inaugural flagship event, the Ghanjong Festival aimed to empower Tibetan youth, preserve Tibetan cultural heritage, and strengthen community unity. The festival received an overwhelming response from visitors and participants, making it a meaningful and successful celebration of Tibetan identity, culture, and shared values.
