Tibet Museum Showcases Exhibition in Varanasi

VARANASI: The Tibet Museum of Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration has showcased three-day Tibet awareness exhibition on two topics namely “India and Tibet relations, ancient ties and current bonds” and “A Long look Homeward” at Banaras Hindu University during Tibet Fest organised by Banaras Tibetan Student Association from 9 to 11March.
The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Ven Ngawang Samten, Vice-Chancellor of Central University for Tibetan Studies and BHU professors on 9 March.
The event aimed to raise Tibet awareness among different ethnic groups by showcasing different kinds of exhibitions related to Tibet and its culture and also Tibetan cultural show.
Besides TTM pictorial exhibition, they have also organised exhibition on Sowa Rigpa, Tibetan medicine by Central University for Tibetan student, Varanasi and exhibition on HHDL’s books in various languages.
The three-day exhibition was successfully completed on 11 March with more than 1000 visitors including professors, students and local people. Most of them were the university students from different countries.
They expressed their joy of attending the event through which they learned more about Tibet and they have also shared their views regarding the exhibition and suggested their points. They even mentioned that the information provided were very precise and knowledgeable.
