Mcleod Ganj: The Zimbabwean national cricket team for T20 World Cup 2016, made a rare visit to the Tibet Museum on March 4, 2016. Mr. Tashi Phuntsok, Director of the Tibet Museum briefed visiting team about Tibet’s history, current situation inside Tibet as well as introduction to the Tibetan democracy in exile. He also apprised them about the ongoing wave of self-immolation inside Tibet and reasons for their drastic step. In order to have better understanding about the Tibet issue, CTA’s free literature were also handed to the visiting team member.

The Zimbabwean national cricket team is in Dharamshala for official ICC T20 World Cup warm-up match against Ireland on March 5, 2016 at picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. The stadium located in the foothills of majestic Dhauladhar Mountain range will also host eight T20 World Cup matches from March 9 to March 19, 2016, including most anticipated match between arch rival India and Pakistan.
