Celebrating Culture & Creativity: Tibet Museum’s Engaging Activities at the Tibetan Youth Festival 2025
On 13th September 2025, the Tibet Museum, under the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), proudly hosted a vibrant series of on-spot educational and cultural activities during the Tibetan Youth Festival. Held at Dekyi Tsering Hall, Upper TCV School, the event ran from 10:30 AM to 3:45 PM, drawing participation from over a hundred students and their parents.
The museum’s interactive corner became a highlight of the festival, offering a blend of creativity, culture, and hands-on learning experiences aimed at deepening youth engagement with Tibetan heritage.

- Coloring Our National Flag
Young participants brought the Tibetan national flag to life through colors, learning about its symbolism and significance in a fun and creative way.

- Crossword Puzzle: Discovering Tibet’s Treasures
Students tackled a special crossword puzzle focused on identifying nouns of precious mountains, rivers, and important places—a playful way to reinforce geographic and cultural knowledge. - How to Make Pak – A Traditional Tibetan Food
One of the favorite sessions was the live demonstration of making Pak, a Tibetan dish prepared from roasted barley flour. Kids got to mix, knead, and taste their own creations!


- Explore Tibet on the Map
An interactive map station invited youth to explore various regions of Tibet, sparking curiosity about the land, culture, and the Tibetan way of life. - Create Your Own Travel Document Inspired by Shaghapa, bringing your own passport size photo and sticking it on the printed document.

- Display of Tibetan Coins and Currency
Participants viewed a curated collection of Tibetan coins and currency, gaining insights into Tibet’s historical economic systems and symbols of sovereignty.

Panels on H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama’s Four Commitments
Informational displays and guided explanations helped visitors understand the four commitments of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama:

The on-spot registration activities turned out to be a tremendous success, with participants eagerly engaging in every corner of the space. The activities provided a platform for the younger generation to connect with their identity in creative and meaningful ways—celebrating Tibet’s rich cultural tapestry while having fun.
