Himachal Minister Inaugurates Tibet Museum’s Exhibition at Bir

BIR: Mr. Sudhir Sharma, Minister of Housing, Urban Development and Town & Country Planning in the Government of Himachal Pradesh, inaugurated Tibet Museum’s photo exhibition at Bir, located about 65 kms from Dharamshala. Tibet Museum of the Department of Information and International Relations is holding a three-day photo exhibition on ‘Glimpses on the History of Tibet’ and ‘Three Commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’ at Bir Tibetan settlement coinciding with the ongoing paragliding world cup.

Mr. Tashi Phuntsok, Secretary of the Department of Information and International Relations welcomed the chief guest at the inaugural of the exhibition. He explained the various panels of the exhibition to the minister, describing the Tibetan struggle from the early years of exile as well as apprising the minister of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s three main commitments in life.
The exhibition was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Tibetan settlement offices in Bir and Chauntra with Tibet Museum. The exhibition is expected to draw a lot of visitors from the spectators coming to watch the paragliding world cup where at least 130 pilots from 35 countries are taking part.
