Man of Peace – Episodes 1 & 2 Screened Across Monasteries and Nunneries

As part of its initiative to bring Man of Peace to monastic communities, The Tibet Museum has been conducting screenings and interactive programmes for monks and nuns. The animated series presents the life, message, and legacy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, highlighting the values of peace, compassion, and nonviolence.

On 17 September 2026, Man of Peace – Episodes 1 and 2 were screened at Kirti Monastery, with more than 50 young monks attending. The programme included a quiz and creative activities such as keychain and bookmark painting inspired by the series.

On 18 September, the same episodes were presented at Karma Drubgyud Dargyaling Nunnery, reaching more than 90 nuns. Participants took part in a short quiz, while some made notes during the screening. Younger nuns engaged in bracelet making, while senior nuns expressed their understanding through drawings.

On 19 September, the series was screened at Namgyal Monastery, McLeod Ganj, providing members of the monastic community an opportunity to engage with its themes.

On 22 September at 2:00 PM, approximately 60 people attended the screening at Shugseb Nunnery, followed by creative activities. Later that day, the programme continued at Jamyang Choling Monastery, where members of the community also took part in the screening and activities.

On 29 September, Man of Peace was screened at the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics (IBD) for approximately 60–70 young monks. The programme concluded with bookmark drawing and bracelet making.

On 30 September, around 80–90 students attended the screening at Gyuto Tantric Monastery, followed by keychain decoration and bookmark drawing.

On 4 October, The Tibet Museum screened Man of Peace at the Lower TCV Space, where the Jang Gunchoe Chenmo, a gathering of nuns from across the Tibetan exile community, was being held. Approximately 150 nuns attended the screening.

On 6 October, the series was screened at Nechung Monastery, with around 30 monks in attendance. The programme concluded with related to the animated series ‘Man of Peace’ bookmark drawing and keychain making.

Through these programmes, The Tibet Museum continues to engage monastic communities with Man of Peace, combining film screenings with quizzes and creative activities to encourage reflection on the values of peace, compassion, and nonviolence.
