Tibet Museum Concludes its US Traveling Exhibition Tour in San Francisco Bay Area

Richmond: The Tibet Museum of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, concluded its United States traveling photo exhibition programme, after holding a daylong photo exhibition at the Tibetan Community Centre, Richmond, California, on 22 November 2015.


A daylong exhibition saw an overwhelming response from Tibetans, school children, local Tibet supporters and donors from San Francisco Bay Area. Around 1000 visitors thronged in large numbers to see the exhibit with keen interest and enthusiasm. The first exhibition titled ‘The Biography of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’’ features extensive photographic and textual information on the life and messages of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, while the second exhibition titled – ‘’A Long Look Homeward’’ features photographic narratives on Tibet before the Chinese Occupation, results of the Chinese occupation, Tibet Today and hope for its future. In order to provide visitors a complete understanding of the exhibition, a documentary film on His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Life and Tibet’s present situation was also screened.


The exhibition in San Francisco Bay Area was jointly organised by the Tibet Museum and the Tibetan Association of Northern California (TANC). The event was held as part of TANC yearly thanksgiving tradition to thank volunteers, supporters and well-wishers for their labor, generosity and support made to the TANC.
