Tibet Museum showcases photo exhibition in Patiala, Ambala and Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: The Tibet Museum of Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, currently on a tour of 5 cities in Punjab and Haryana has completed the exhibition in 3 cities of its itinerary. The Exhibition which was kicked off from Patiala in Punjab on 16 November has successfully showcased the exhibition in cities like Ambala and Chandigarh on 18-19 Nov and 21-22 Nov respectively. The exhibition which is aimed at reaching out to local Indians and educating them about Tibetan history, culture and the contribution and achievements of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was held with the cooperation and assistance from Tibetan Refugee markets in all the three cities.The Exhibition in all the three cities were held in the Tibetan Refugee markets with the idea to attract the shoppers and visitors from nearby areas visiting the Tibetan market.

‘His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s three main commitments’, the exhibition detailing the three core issues that His Holiness has devoted his life for and for which he continues to work for, was showcased to commemorate his 80th birthday and the exhibition on India and Tibet’s relationship, titled ‘India and Tibet, ancient ties and current bonds’, were showcased in all the three venues. Tibet related documentary films were also screeed and DIIR publications like Tibetan Bulletin and publications on Middle way policy (Hindi and English) were distributed among the visitors.

The Tibet Museum is now slated to showcase the exhibition in Tibetan market, Mohali on 25th November and Tibetan Market, Jalandhar on 27 and 28 November.
