Traveling Exhibition held in Kullu and Manali

The Tibet Museum successfully organized a traveling exhibition on the life and biography of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Manali and Kullu from 25–27 March 2026, in collaboration with the Manali Tibetan Settlement Office.

The first exhibition was held in Manali on 25 March 2026 and was inaugurated at 10:00 a.m. by former Lahaul and Spiti MLA, Shri Ravi Thakur. During the inauguration, Tibet Museum staff member Mr. Karma Tashi guided the chief guest through the photo exhibition, offering detailed insights into the life and legacy of His Holiness. The event was attended by staff members, along with students of Classes IV and V from Sambhota Tibetan School, Manali. The exhibition also drew significant interest from local residents and Tibetans living in and around Manali.

The traveling exhibition continued in Kullu on 26 March 2026, where it was inaugurated at 10:00 a.m. by Shri Madan Lal Kaushal, Superintendent of Police of Kullu district. The Tibet Museum staff once again provided a comprehensive guided tour of the exhibition to the chief guest, explaining the historical and personal milestones highlighted in the displays. The exhibition witnessed strong participation from local residents, as well as members of the Tibetan community residing in the Kullu district.

Through these exhibitions, The Tibet Museum continues its efforts to promote awareness and understanding of the life, values, and contributions of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama among diverse audiences.
