Tibet Awareness Talk

Dr. Lobsang Yangtso, currently working as a Programme and Environment Coordinator at International Tibet Network spoke on “COP27 Tibet Delegations: Experiences and Challenges”

On 7 November 2022, the Tibet museum of the Central Tibetan Administration held the first Tibet awareness talk series of the month on the topic ‘In the time of rising Chinese power, remembering the brutality of Nangpa La is an important cautionary tale’.

The Tibet Museum’s third monthly Tibet awareness talk series was  held on 28th October 2022, in the Museum’s auditorium. Dr. Tenzin Lhadon, research fellow at the Tibet Policy Institute of Central Tibetan Administration presented on the topic “Museum: Constructing Soft Power in Exile”.

Dr. Kaveri Gill, Professor and Head, Department of International Relations and Governance Studies, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi, speaks on the ”  Resisting Assimilation: The Synthesis of Tradition and Modernity in Tibetan Education In Exile. on 6th Oct 2022 at the Tibet Museum.

Mr. Claude Arpi, an Historian and an Author, presented a presentation on the topic : “India Tibet Relations ( 1947 – 1962) at the Tibet Museum on the 18th of August 2022 (Virtually).

Mr. Tsewang Dorji, research fellow at the Tibet Policy Institute commenced the presentation on the title “Border Villages in Tibet: Eyes and Ears of the PRC”.

Mrs. Tsering Dolma, Tibet Institute Policy, CTA, Dharamshala, speaks on the topic “A brief Account on gTerma (Hidden Treasure) of Tibetan Buddhism”.

Ms. Dhondup Wangmo, Tibet Institute Policy, CTA, Dharamshala, speaks on the topic “Development Of Mining Industry Inside Tibet”.

Mr. Karma Tenzin, researcher, The Tibet Policy Institute (TPI) delivered a presentation titled, ‘Bilingual Education Policy in Tibet’ at the Tibet Museum on 26 December 2018.

Mr. Tenzin Phuntsok Doring, researcher, delivers a talk on ‘Tibetan Electoral System’, at the Tibet Museum as a part of The Tibet Museum’s ‘Tibet Awareness Talk Series’.

Mr. Tenzin Dalha, researcher, Tibet Policy Institute (TPI), Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) speaks on the topic, ‘Chinese Censorship vs Tibetan Activism on Social Media with special reference to contemporary issues’, at the Tibet Museum’s Tibet Awareness Talk Series for the month of September.
